Dec 27, 2011 3:30 PM

Rick Pitino said Tuesday that he won't coach past the 2016-2017 season when his current contract ends at Louisville.

"When you're 59, you're realistic that you don't have a whole lot of years left," Pitino said at a news conference before the No. 4 Cardinals play Georgetown on Wednesday. "My contract's going to run out in 2017. I'm not coaching any more after that."

The former Providence and Kentucky coach has guided the Cardinals to a 12-0 record so far this season.

Nerlens Noel could reclassify and become a member of the incoming college class of 2012. Noel is currently a high school junior.

“Yeah I’ve heard that one,” Noel said of the rumor. “I’m not gonna do that though. I’m 90 percent sure that I won’t reclassify. But the fact that those coaches think I can play now, definitely gives me even more confidence on the court.”

Syracuse, Providence, Duke, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Georgetown and Connecticut are considered the leaders for Noel.

Andrew White Commits To Kansas

Dec 2, 2011 3:48 PM

Andrew White has committed to Kansas, picking the school over North Carolina State, West Virginia, Louisville, Texas, Georgetown and Richmond.

White is a 6-foot-20 small forward from Virginia.

“He has improved the most in one year's time span (of anybody he’s ever seen),” his AAU coach Ty White said. “He can stroke it out of this world. His body is built like a man. He is putting it (ball) on the deck a lot more while rebounding it very well for his position. He plays both ends of the court.”

White is approximately a top-50 recruit in the class of 2012.
